LeTa Launcher (“LeTa”, “uygulama”), Android TV ve Google TV cihazları için bir ana ekran uygulamasıdır. Bu politika, uygulamanın hangi verilere eriştiğini ve bu verilerin ne olduğunu anlatır.
Kısa özet
LeTa kendi sunucularında kişisel veri toplamaz. Uygulama hesap açtırmaz, analitik veya reklam yazılım geliştirme kiti içermez, reklam kimliği okumaz ve bizim bir sunucumuz yoktur. Size ait hiçbir bilgi bize ulaşmaz, çünkü ulaşacağı bir taraf yoktur. Buna karşılık, aşağıda açıkladığımız iki durumda veri cihazdan çıkıp üçüncü taraflara gider; Google’ın Veri Güvenliği tanımına göre bu da bir tür veri aktarımı sayıldığı için burada açıkça yazıyoruz.
Cihazdan dışarı çıkan iki şey vardır ve ikisi de bize değil, üçüncü taraflara gider:
- İçerik kartlarının görselleri. Bu görseller, kartları yayınlayan uygulamaların (video servisleri gibi) kendi sunucularından indirilir. O sunucular, her internet isteğinde olduğu gibi televizyonunuzun IP adresini görür. Biz bu isteklere hiçbir kimlik ya da etiket eklemeyiz.
- Hava durumu koordinatı (isteğe bağlı, varsayılan kapalı). Yalnızca siz bir şehir seçerseniz, o şehrin koordinatları açık bir meteoroloji servisine gider. Ayrıntısı aşağıda.
Bunların dışında ayarlarınız, favorileriniz, fotoğraflarınız ve PIN'iniz cihazdan hiç çıkmaz.
Cihazınızdaki yüklü uygulamalar
LeTa bir ana ekran uygulamasıdır; işini yapabilmek için cihazınızda hangi uygulamaların kurulu olduğunu bilmesi gerekir. Bu listeyi yalnızca cihaz üzerinde okur; simgeleri ve adları ana ekranda, dock’ta, klasörlerde ve uygulama değiştiricide göstermek ve siz seçtiğinizde o uygulamayı başlatmak için kullanır.
- Bu liste cihaz dışına gönderilmez; bize, Google’a ya da başka bir üçüncü tarafa iletilmez.
- Analiz, profilleme, reklam ya da pazarlama amacıyla kullanılmaz ve kimseye satılmaz.
- Uygulama, Android’in
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGESiznini kullanmaz. Bunun yerine Android’in dar kapsamlı<queries>tanımıyla yalnızca ana ekranda başlatılabilen uygulamaları, simge paketlerini ve duvar kağıdı eklentilerini görür. - Uygulamayı kaldırdığınızda LeTa’nın tuttuğu sıralama ve klasör bilgisi de cihazdan silinir.
Google Play Veri Güvenliği beyanımız
Play mağaza kaydındaki Veri Güvenliği bölümünde, bu sayfayla birebir aynı şeyi beyan ediyoruz:
- Bizim sunucularımızda toplanan veri: yok. LeTa’nın bir sunucusu yoktur.
- Beyan ettiğimiz tek veri türü: yaklaşık konum. Hava durumunu açarsanız seçtiğiniz şehrin koordinatı cihazdan çıkar. Google, cihazdan dışarı çıkan veriyi “toplama” saydığı için bunu Play formunda hem toplanıyor hem paylaşılıyor olarak, isteğe bağlı ve yalnızca uygulama işlevi amacıyla işaretliyoruz. “Hiç veri toplamıyoruz” kutusunu bilerek işaretlemiyoruz.
- Reklam kimliği, cihaz kimliği, kilitlenme günlüğü, kullanım istatistiği ve yüklü uygulama listesi: beyan edilmez, çünkü hiçbiri cihazdan çıkmaz.
- Verilerin şifrelenmesi: hava durumu isteği HTTPS ile yapılır. Ev ağındaki TV'den TV'ye aktarım şifresiz HTTP kullanır; yalnızca siz başlattığınızda ve yalnızca yerel ağda çalışır, internete çıkmaz.
- Veri silme: uygulamayı kaldırmak cihazdaki her şeyi siler. Bizde silinecek bir kayıt bulunmaz.
Uygulamanın istediği izinler ve nedenleri
- İçerik erişimi (READ_TV_LISTINGS): Cihazınızdaki uygulamaların ana ekrana sunduğu “izlemeye devam et” ve öneri kartlarını göstermek için okunur. Yalnızca cihazda işlenir, dışarı çıkmaz.
- İnternet (INTERNET): Yalnızca iki şey için kullanılır. Birincisi bu kartların görsellerini indirmek; görseller, kartları yayınlayan uygulamaların kendi sunucularından gelir ve o sunucular cihazınızın IP adresini görür. İkincisi, siz açarsanız hava durumu.
- Diğer uygulamaların üzerinde göster (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): İsteğe bağlı “Home tuşu → LeTa” özelliği içindir ve yalnızca siz bu özelliği açarsanız istenir.
- Sistem ayarlarını değiştir (WRITE_SETTINGS): LeTa'nın kendi seslerini açtığınızda cihazın tuş sesiyle çakışmayı önlemek için isteğe bağlı olarak istenir. Vermezseniz ses yine çalışır.
Hava durumu (isteğe bağlı, varsayılan kapalı)
Bir şehir seçerseniz o şehrin koordinatları (dört ondalık basamağa yuvarlanmış olarak) Norveç Meteoroloji Enstitüsü'nün açık servisine (api.met.no, CC BY 4.0) gönderilir. Cihaz kimliği gönderilmez, konum izni istenmez, hesap kullanılmaz. Şehir adı, cihazda Google servisleri varsa Android'in Geocoder hizmetiyle koordinata çevrilir.
Cihazda kalan veriler
- Ayarlarınız (duvar kâğıdı, favoriler, klasörler, gizlenen kartlar, kişiler) yalnızca cihazınızda tutulur ve uygulamayı kaldırdığınızda silinir.
- Kendi görseliniz: Duvar kâğıdı olarak seçtiğiniz görsel uygulamanın özel klasörüne kopyalanır ve başka hiçbir yere gitmez.
- Fotoğraf albümü: Seçtiğiniz klasöre Android'in belge erişimiyle (SAF) kalıcı okuma izni alınır. Yalnızca o klasördeki görseller okunur, sırayla küçültülüp uygulamanın özel klasörüne kopyalanır. Klasör listesi de görseller de hiçbir yere gönderilmez. “Albümü kapat” dediğinizde izin bırakılır.
- Otomatik yerel anlık yedek: Uygulama güncellenince önceki ayarlarınızın bir kopyası yalnızca uygulamanın özel deposunda tutulur; Güvenli Mod kurtarması içindir, dışarı çıkmaz ve uygulama kaldırılınca silinir.
- Ebeveyn kilidi PIN'i: Yalnızca SHA-256 özeti olarak cihazda saklanır; PIN'in kendisi hiçbir yerde tutulmaz.
Yedekleme ve televizyondan televizyona aktarım
Ayarlarınız yalnızca siz isterseniz bir dosyaya (İndirilenler klasörü) yazılır ya da aynı ev ağındaki başka bir televizyona altı haneli tek kullanımlık kodla aktarılır. Aktarım ev ağı içinde şifresiz HTTP ile yapılır ve yerel sunucu yalnızca aktarım penceresi açıkken çalışır. Hiçbir aşamada internete veri gönderilmez.
Çocuklar
Uygulama çocuklara yönelik değildir; Play üzerindeki hedef kitlesi 18 yaş ve üzeridir. On üç yaş altındaki kişilerden bilerek kişisel veri toplamayız — hesap ve sunucumuz olmadığı için başka hiç kimseden de toplamayız.
Güvenlik
Uygulamada allowBackup kapalıdır ve şifresiz HTTP trafiği, yalnızca siz başlattığınızda çalışan ev ağı aktarımı dışında kapalıdır.
Değişiklikler
Bu politika değişirse bu sayfadaki tarih güncellenir. Önemli bir değişiklik olursa uygulama içinde de bildirilir.

LeTa Launcher (“LeTa”, “the app”) is a home screen app for Android TV and Google TV. This policy explains what the app accesses and what happens to it.
Short version
LeTa collects no personal data on servers of its own. There are no accounts, no analytics or advertising SDKs, no advertising identifier is read, and there is no server of ours. Nothing about you reaches us, because there is no “us” on the receiving end. In the two cases described below, however, data does leave the device and go to third parties; under Google’s Data Safety definition that counts as a transfer, so we set it out plainly here.
Two things do leave the device, and neither goes to us:
- The images on content cards. They are downloaded from the servers of the apps that publish those cards. Like any internet request, those servers see your television's IP address. We add no identifier or tag to these requests.
- Weather coordinates (optional, off by default). Only if you pick a city, its coordinates go to an open meteorological service. Details below.
Apart from these, your settings, favourites, photos and PIN never leave the device.
The apps installed on your device
LeTa is a home screen; to do its job it has to know which apps are installed on your device. It reads that list on the device only, to show icons and names on the home screen, in the dock, in folders and in the app switcher, and to start an app when you choose it.
- The list never leaves the device. It is not sent to us, to Google, or to any other third party.
- It is never used for analytics, profiling, advertising or marketing, and it is never sold.
- The app does not use Android’s
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGESpermission. It uses Android’s narrow<queries>declaration instead, which shows it only launchable apps, icon packs and wallpaper add-ons. - Uninstalling the app also removes the ordering and folder information LeTa kept on the device.
Our Google Play Data Safety declaration
In the Data Safety section of the Play listing we declare exactly what this page says:
- Data collected on our servers: none. LeTa has no server.
- The one data type we declare: approximate location. If you turn weather on, the coordinates of the city you chose leave the device. Because Google treats data that leaves the device as “collection”, we mark it in the Play form as both collected and shared, optional, and for app functionality only. We deliberately do not tick the “we collect no data” box.
- Advertising ID, device ID, crash logs, usage statistics and the installed app list: not declared, because none of them leave the device.
- Encryption: the weather request uses HTTPS. TV-to-TV transfer on your home network uses unencrypted HTTP; it runs only when you start it and only on the local network, never over the internet.
- Data deletion: uninstalling the app deletes everything on the device. There is no record of yours held by us to delete.
Permissions and why they are asked for
- Content access (READ_TV_LISTINGS): reads the continue-watching and recommendation cards that installed apps publish to the home screen. Processed on the device only.
- Internet: used for two things. First, to download the images on those cards; they come from the servers of the apps that publish them, and those servers see your television's IP address. Second, weather, only if you turn it on.
- Display over other apps: for the optional “Home key → LeTa” feature, requested only if you enable it.
- Write system settings: requested optionally, to stop your television's key sound clashing with LeTa's own sounds when you turn them on. Sound still works if you decline.
Weather (optional, off by default)
If you pick a city, its coordinates (rounded to four decimals) are sent to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute's open service (api.met.no, CC BY 4.0). No device identifier is sent, no location permission is requested and no account is used. The city name is resolved with Android's Geocoder when Google services are present.
What stays on the device
- Your settings (wallpaper, favourites, folders, hidden cards, people) are stored only on your device and deleted when the app is removed.
- Your own image: an image you choose as wallpaper is copied into the app's private folder and goes nowhere else.
- Photo album: a folder you pick is opened through Android's document access (SAF) with a persistent read grant. Only images in that folder are read, scaled and copied one at a time into the app's private folder. Neither the folder listing nor the images leave the device. Turning the album off releases the grant.
- Automatic local snapshot: when the app is updated, a copy of your previous settings is kept only in the app's private storage for Safe Mode recovery. It never leaves the device and is deleted with the app.
- Parental lock PIN: stored only as a SHA-256 hash; the PIN itself is never kept.
Backup and TV-to-TV transfer
Your settings are written to a file (the Downloads folder) or sent to another television on the same home network with a one-time six-digit code, and only when you ask. The transfer uses unencrypted HTTP within your home network, and the local server runs only while the transfer dialog is open. Nothing is sent to the internet at any point.
Children
The app is not directed at children and its Play target audience is 18 and over. We knowingly gather no personal data from anyone under thirteen — nor from anyone else, since the app has no accounts and no server of ours.
Security
The app sets allowBackup to false, and cleartext HTTP is disabled except for the home-network transfer you start yourself.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date on this page is updated. Material changes are also announced inside the app.
